It was a long walk today, about 33K from Ventosa to Santo Domingo de la Calzada. The backpack got a bit heavy towards the end.

It was a overcast day with a few showers, mostly just sprinklers. The cooler weather made the walking much easier.

The Camino went through vineyards to Nájera, a good size town, then more vineyards but also some wheat, canola and pea fields, up and down and up and down, on and on, through a golf resort and the very small town of Cirueña, and then 6K more to Santo Domingo.

I am staying at a large hostel (Albergue de Peregrinos Cofradía del Santo) about 100 m from the Cathedral in town. It is big, clean and comfortable. I am very tired but at peace. I hope to get a good night sleep.
